Jovela
Comparison
Jovela vs Evite
Both make online invitations; they don’t make the same thing. Here is where Evite is the better fit, and where Jovela is.
In short
| Jovela | Evite | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Animated invitations opened as a link on the phone: a short film, a gesture that unveils your photo, the details, the map and a one-tap RSVP, in English, French and Spanish. | Free and premium online invitations for parties and events, with guest lists, messaging, polls and gift suggestions, mostly in the United States. |
| How you pay | Free to design and preview; from $19 per invitation when published ($29 for a wedding), unlimited guests; made-to-order design $89. | Free designs with ads and Evite branding; premium (ad-free) designs and extras paid per event or by subscription. |
Where Evite is stronger
- Free to send to many guests when ads don’t bother you
- Party tools: what-to-bring lists, polls, messaging among guests
- Familiar to American guests
Where Jovela is stronger
- No ads, no third-party branding, on any plan
- An animated, personal experience built for phones, with music and a photo reveal
- Personal links, voice wishes and three languages
Choose Evite if
A casual American party where free matters more than the look, and guests expect an Evite.
Choose Jovela if
You want guests to open something alive on their phone, with your photo revealed by a gesture, your music, and replies that arrive by themselves, for one price whatever the number of guests, and in English, French or Spanish.
Is Jovela cheaper than Evite?
It depends on your guest list. Jovela is $19 per invitation ($29 for a wedding) for any number of guests; Evite is free in some cases and paid in others, with costs that can depend on the number of recipients or on a subscription. For a large guest list, one fixed price is usually the simpler deal.
Can I move from Evite to Jovela?
Yes. Guest lists paste in from any text or spreadsheet, one name per line, and each guest gets a personal link.
Do guests need an account or an app?
No. A Jovela invitation opens in the phone’s browser from the link, and guests reply in one tap.
