For your guests
Do guests need an app or an account?
No. Guests open your link in their phone’s browser and reply in one tap. No app to install, no account, no password.
Can I send the invitation on WhatsApp?
Yes. You send one link by WhatsApp, text message, Instagram, Messenger or email, to each guest or in a group. The animation plays when they open it.
Can each guest get an invitation with their own name?
Yes. Paste your guest list and each guest or family gets a personal link. Their invitation greets them by name from the first screen (“Dear Emma & James”), their reply is already filled in, and they can reply only for the seats you kept for them. Each link is sent on WhatsApp in one tap, with your message ready. It is included in the price, for unlimited guests.
Can I see who opened the invitation?
Yes, with personal links. Your guest list shows, guest by guest, who has not opened it yet, who opened it and who replied, with the number of people coming. You can send a gentle reminder on WhatsApp only to those who have not replied.
How do guests RSVP?
At the bottom of the invitation they tap “Joyfully accepts” or “Regretfully declines”, add the number of guests, dietary needs if you ask for them, and a message. Every reply arrives live in your space, and you can download the guest list at any time.
Will I be notified when someone replies?
Yes. Each reply and each voice wish appears in your space, with an optional notification on your phone.
What do guests see when they open it?
A short opening film, then they reveal your photo with a gesture (lifting a veil, untying a bow, popping balloons…), and find the date, a countdown, the venue with a map, the programme and the reply button. They can also leave a written or voice wish and add the date to their calendar.
Can people find my invitation on Google?
No. Your invitation is only seen by people who have the link. It is hidden from search engines.
Price
Is Jovela free?
Creating and previewing your invitation is free, with any design, without an account or a card. You pay only when you publish it for your guests.
How much does it cost?
From $19 per invitation ($19 for a birthday, a baby shower or a party, $29 for a wedding; €19 / €29 in Europe), paid once when you publish (card, Apple Pay or Google Pay). No subscription.
Is there a limit on guests?
No. Guests are unlimited and there is no price per guest.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. You get a full refund within 14 days of payment as long as the invitation has not been sent to your guests.
How long does my invitation stay online?
At least 12 months after the date of your event. You can unpublish it whenever you like.
Making your invitation
Can I use my own photo?
Yes. Add your photo and it goes into the invitation as it is, or our AI draws it by hand in the design’s style (pencil, watercolour, comic book, pastel…) in about a minute. One drawing is free before you create an account.
Can I change things after sending the link?
Yes. You can change the date, the venue, the texts or the photo at any time at no extra cost. The link stays the same and guests see the new details.
Which languages are available?
English, French and Spanish, for the invitation and for the editor.
Can Jovela design an invitation just for us?
Yes. Our studio creates a one-of-a-kind animated invitation from your theme, ready within 24 hours, for $89 (€89 in Europe), with two rounds of changes included.
Do I need to download something to make it?
No. Everything happens in the browser, on a phone or a computer. You can also add Jovela to your phone’s home screen to follow the replies.

Which occasions does Jovela cover?
Weddings, engagements, children’s and adult birthdays, milestone birthdays, baby showers and parties, with 50+ designs.
Is it good for a child’s birthday?
Yes. There are designs made for children (superhero, princess, unicorn, mermaid, dinosaur, space, first birthday…). Add the child’s name, age and photo, and send the link in the family WhatsApp group.
How is Jovela different from a video invitation?
A video is a file people watch. A Jovela invitation is a link they open themselves: the animation, the photo reveal, the details, the map and the RSVP are in one place, and you can still change the details after sending.
