Opera wedding invitation: The Overture
A grand opera house at night, all midnight-blue velvet and gold leaf: the house lights dim, the little lamps of the orchestra pit glow one by one and the camera glides toward the closed curtain. Then each guest takes the conductor's baton: they conduct with a finger, and the overture plays at their own tempo as the strings, woodwinds, brass and timpani come in one by one. Stop, and the orchestra waits for you. On the final beat, a timpani roll, the curtain flies up on the couple in the spotlight and the whole house cries Bravo! Then every guest lights a candle in the great crystal chandelier.
